This wearable tech is being used by care homes to stem outbreaks of COVID-19

Smart wristbands, using tech from CarePredict, can monitor contact between patients in US care homes during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Tempo bracelets function as a call button to summon staff, a digital room key, and a health and activity tracker.
They use infrared light to connect to beacons on a wall in each room, creating a record of who has been near whom.
These devices are already ahead of plans by Apple and Google, who need access to the internet and a government-authorized contact tracing app.
