Kansas drive-in theater to host social distanced graduation celebrations for high school seniors
Many high school seniors across the country will likely go without traditional graduation ceremonies due to coronavirus.
In Kansas, a business owner found a way to still celebrate while graduates and their families can maintain social distancing.
"What about the drive-in?" Joshua Blick told KSNW-TV. "If they do, like, a slideshow presentation or something that kind of recognize these kids, their accomplishments."
Blick created Starlite Project Graduation, which will utilize both of the drive-in's screen to hold such ceremonies.
They plan to play a slideshow of photos of all graduating seniors at high schools interested in participating.Taylor Ruiz, a high school senior, said she was upset by the fact that a traditional graduation wouldn't happen.
